Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychologist. The father of her was Argentine who had Scottish as well as English heritage. She is Spanish with English roots. Taylor Joy also has 4 siblings, one in each parent's prior marriages. Buenos Aires was her home until the age of six when the family moved from the city of Victoria in London. According to Taylor-Joy, the relocation was difficult and she refused to learn English to the hope of returning to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend after switching from Northlands. Then she attended Queen's Gate School in London and took ballet classes and took part in plays. She dropped out of the high school aged 16 to focus on her acting career. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to be an actor. Her dream was granted a chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered a job as a model.
