She is able to harness the current zeitgeist and make it her unique. This was evident in her earliest hits especially the neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album in 2008's Fearless featured a singer-songwriter figuring out who she was and in the process finding the mass market. The album ended up with a lot of appeal not just in the U.S. where it racked up six platinum singles thanks to Top Ten hits Love Story and the hit single You Belong with Me but throughout the globe, performing especially well in the U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift soared to the top of stardom with Speak Now. Through her next three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017), her popularity increased and she became part of the world of pop music in which it became clear she was a part of. However, even when she reduced her style with the 2020's stripped-down siblings' folklore and Evermore she remained atop the charts, a place she maintained with re-recordings of her back catalog along with Midnights the top charting synth heavy 2022 album.
