Anna Silk was the first child born to Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor, director, producer as well as a teacher at St. Thomas University). Anna was born in Fredericton, being the daughter of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her productions as a young girl and observing her mother at work. Anna was featured in a variety of advertisements when she was a child. Anna was transferred to Toronto in the fall of 1999 to pursue her acting talents. She eventually settled down at Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting training workshop held in 2007. The couple got engaged in the year 2009. Anna changed her religion to Judaism in the month of January, 2011, and the couple renewed their vows during the Jewish wedding ceremony in Fredericton. Bo's romance with Lauren, played by Zoie Parker, was showcased in the list of CNN's Top Television Couples that have ever existed and was named E!'s Top Television Couple in 2013.
