
Suzanne Pleshette was an American voice actress, actress, and film actor. She lived from January 31st, 1937 to January 19th 2008. [1] Pleshette began her career in theatre and was first seen in films towards the end of the 1950s. Later, she appeared in films with a prominent name such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). From 1972 to 1978, Pleshette was a regular guest on a variety of TV productions. She also played Emily Hartley, which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette, a daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1] and Eugene Pleshette, was born on the 31st of January 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist and choreographer who was stage-named Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
